The global advocacy group Women Deliver asked GHS to develop the communications strategy for its upcoming international conference, Women Deliver 2010. GHS would manage media relations and communications for the conference with a goal of galvanizing new political commitments to global reproductive, maternal and newborn health.

Launch of a Global Report on HIV in Vulnerable Populations

With GHS support, amfAR, the Foundation for AIDS Research, launched a new initiative designed to reduce rates of HIV infection in men who have sex with men (MSM) in resource-poor countries. amfAR then asked GHS to help develop and disseminate a detailed report to raise broad awareness of the issue. The final MSM report was released at the 2008 International AIDS Conference in Mexico City.

Six international NGOs asked GHS to organize a high-level summit focused on catalyzing civil society to ensure global access to HPV vaccines, particularly in developing countries. New vaccines typically take 15 years or more to reach developing countries after they are approved in developed countries.
