Sang-Hee joined GHS after completing her MPH in Epidemiology and Global Health at Columbia University. During her program, she worked as a research assistant at the Columbia University Global Mental Health Program, and spent six months in Mexico interning with the World Health Organization, coordinating field studies for the upcoming revision of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11).
Prior to Columbia, Sang-Hee spent two years at the Center for Health Policy and Outcomes at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, working on a multilingual, multi-institutional study investigating ethnic disparities in the effects of breast cancer diagnosis and treatment on women’s finances and employment. Her previous experiences include internships at the Wexler Lab at MIT, the Music & Neuroimaging Lab at Beth Israel Deaconness Medical Center, and Democracy Now! Productions – an international news broadcasting station.
