Katie Callahan is a Manager at Global Health Strategies. Her work supports strategic advocacy projects that aim to increase global access to vaccines and medications. Katie recently completed her Master in Public Health degree at Columbia University. Over the course of her MPH, Katie was involved in research related to HIV/AIDS prevention and reproductive health.

Prior to pursuing her MPH, Katie spent three years working in Washington, D.C. in the Office of Senator Tom Harkin, where she focused on foreign policy, foreign assistance and immigration issues. As a Junior Legislative Assistant, Katie was involved in policy development and as well as liaising with groups advocating for foreign assistance funding. Katie has also worked in Ethiopia where she was part of a team assessing the impact of Global Fund grants on the country’s overall health system and in India on maternal and neonatal health projects.
