Karishma Saran holds a Master’s Degree in Global Health and Development from University College, London.

Prior to joining GHS, Karishma did an internship with Medact, London to understand how health information is collected in conflict zones and during war including protection of health professionals in the above situations. Before that she worked as a summer trainee at KPMG, Mumbai where she undertook a research project and drafted a report on the Emerging Healthcare Scenario in India which focused on the changing trends in disease patterns, healthcare policy and the challenges in overcoming gaps in healthcare delivery in India. She has also done a couple of internships with Rural Health Initiative: Karmayog NGO, Mumbai and with Bharat Serums and Vaccines Ltd., Mumbai.

She has an elementary understanding of Spanish  and is a big sports fan and enjoys swimming, badminton and sailing.
