Jessica Freifeld is a Manager at Global Health Strategies. In this position, she supports communications, research and advocacy projects specifically related to vaccine uptake and introduction in developing countries. Jessica developed her passionate interest in the field of global health through her undergraduate studies at Duke University and a semester at the University of Cape Town in South Africa, where she volunteered at a local orphanage for abandoned, abused and HIV-orphaned children.

Prior to joining GHS, Jessica obtained professional experience in the areas of global health policy and pharmaceutical access as a summer intern with PATH’s Advocacy & Public Policy Team and as a research assistant at Duke’s Program on Global Health and Technology Access.

Jessica graduated Summa cum Laude from Duke University with a B.A. in Comparative Political Science, a minor in African and African-American Studies and a certificate in Global Health. Her studies focused primarily on international development, with a particular emphasis on health-related issues.
