Francesca Heintz is a Manager at Global Health Strategies. Prior to joining GHS, Francesca completed her MPH at Columbia University where she focused her studies on maternal health and worked as a research assistant at the Averting Maternal Death and Disability program. As part of her degree, Francesca also spent six months in Tanzania conducting research on disrespect and abuse during childbirth.
Prior to starting at Columbia, Francesca conducted communications and policy analysis for Bronx Health REACH, an organization focused on reducing racial and ethnic health disparities. She also spent one year in Chennai, India as the advocacy coordinator for the Indian Network for People Living with HIV/AIDS. Before entering the global health field, Francesca worked for two years as a journalist in New York.
Francesca received her BA from the University of Pennsylvania where she majored in European History.
