Flavia Antunes Michaud majored in International Affairs from Universidade Cândido Mendes and holds a MSc in Public Policies from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Flavia worked in ActionAid with the Food Rights Campaign and later in the Rio de Janeiro State Government, as international relations advisor for human rights and responsible for the implementation and coordination of the Centre to Assist Victims of Human Trafficking. Flavia also worked in the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, where she was responsible for South-South cooperation projects. Flavia also led the movement AllOut in Brazil to promote LGBT rights and fight against homophobia through campaigns and advocacy activities. Before joining GHS, Flavia was an independent consultant at the United Nations Relief Works Agency as External Affairs Officer to support Palestine Refugees in the Middle East. Flavia is fluent in English and Spanish.
